EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES,
The school has a range of extra-curricular activities that a student can pick from depending on their interests. These activities are available at a cost per term.
For the past 20 years, games and sports have been a major co-curriculum activity in Jonathan Gloag Academy. It has really promoted physical and mental growth of pupils. Both boys and girls have always voted at 99% expressing their appreciation of many sports that are offered. Currently handball is taking the lead, football, basketball, swimming etc. With the introduction of CBC, we have been able to realise several fun games such as softball, kabaddi and tennis.
The school has also been able to introduce several sports clubs in order to reach out to many talented boys and girls. The greatest energy and training that has been offered by teachers and visiting coach staff cannot be underestimated, motivating many pupils to do better.
“In the eleven years at school, the games and sports have held a very important role. They not only kept us active and healthy, they were full of fun and unforgettable moments. “The diverse activities we did helped us indulge ourselves in different sports. We have been taught a variety of games, both tactical and skillful, and in these games some have found their passion. “Moreover the staff helped in sharpening our skills. They give us opportunity to be an athlete in future.”
